Scenes that belong to spring - tables disappearing beneath flowers, petals scattered underfoot, soft natural dresses, open gardens and afternoons that linger in the warm gentle breezes.
At my cousin’s wedding, the aisle was scattered with petals and lined with the most beautiful, slightly wild arrangements of roses and garden flowers. Romantic, natural and elegant, it felt as though the garden had simply wandered into the celebration.

Put the florals on display
Flowers want to be seen. Spilling across a table in soft colour and natural form, they turn an afternoon into a romance.
Rather than one perfect arrangement, we love flowers that feel collected. Mix a few different vessels - an old ceramic jug, a tiny glass bottle, something brass - and let each arrangement have its own personality. Cut stems at different heights and allow some to lean, fall or reach beyond the vase. Roses bring softness, while little daisies, cosmos and delicate wildflowers keep everything feeling undone.
Scatter a few loose petals across the table and mix flowers with pieces already at home: an old book, embroidered linen, mismatched china or a beautiful cloth. The less it looks “styled”, the more charming it becomes.
Why pink suits Spring
Spring seems to belong to pink.
The palest blush of a rose, faded shell pink, raspberry, dusty mauve and the almost-red centre of a flower.
Against fresh green, ivory and natural linen, pink feels particularly beautiful. Romantic and soft, it brings a little warmth and optimism to everything around it. Perhaps that is why we keep finding our way back to it - in flowers, paintings, interiors and, of course, dresses.
